A collection of Art, Nature, and Giving Back
Inspired by the beautiful and wild places that Heidi longs and loves to escape to in nature, she has created a series titled “Nova Scotia Wild Country”. All paintings are depictions of Nova Scotia’s majestic naturescapes.
As often as possible, Heidi treks through the Nova Scotia wilderness to escape, explore, and experience. May that experience be hours, days, or weeks at a time. The paradox of both the comfort and the challenge that nature brings soothes her soul.
With this project, Heidi endeavors to re-experience these moments in nature and to share the solitude, beauty, and energy of the magical places she visits in the wilderness.
The most significant part of this project is its aim to raise funds for nature conservation in Nova Scotia to protect the wild places that remain in the province. As a percentage of proceeds from every Wild Country Series print will be donated to the Nova Scotia Nature Trust fund.
